About Listen Learn Grow

Hi, I’m Lindsey and I’ve walked these trenches too.

If you’re here because your child learns differently and you’re not sure where to turn, I want you to know something first: you’re not behind, and you’re not alone.

I started Listen Learn Grow because I spent seasons feeling completely isolated while trying to figure out what was going on with my own child — researching alone at midnight, sitting in appointments alone, advocating alone. Nobody handed me a map. I had to build one, piece by piece, mistake by mistake.

One of the biggest pieces of that map was learning about Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) and Vision Therapy. These two things moved mountains for our son — and yet almost no one talks about them. Most parents have never even heard the terms, let alone know how to get an evaluation or what questions to ask. That gap in awareness is exactly why I write.

Why I do this

Here’s what I’ve learned the hard way: no one is going to advocate harder for your child than you. Not because professionals don’t care, but because you’re the one who sees your child every single day. You’re the one who notices the pattern before anyone else does. My goal is to help you trust that instinct — and give you the language, the resources, and the confidence to act on it.

Listen Learn Grow exists to:

  • Bring awareness to under-the-radar learning differences like APD, so more parents recognize the signs early

  • Share what actually helped our family, including our experience with Vision Therapy

  • Equip you to become your child’s best advocate — in IEP meetings, doctor’s offices, and everyday homeschool decisions

  • Remind you, faith and all, that you’re not walking this alone anymore

What you get as a subscriber

This blog takes real time and real energy to build — but it’s built for you, not just about my journey. When you subscribe, you unlock:

  • A growing resource library — checklists, guides, and tools built from what actually worked for us

  • Group support — a community of parents who get it, without judgment

  • Optional one-on-one coaching — for when you want personalized guidance for your specific situation

Let’s navigate this together

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to take the next step — and I’d love to help you take it.
